The Job
We’re looking for dynamic and meticulous problem-solvers committed to good data who are both interested in and knowledgeable about the human services delivery system. As a Database Curator, you will assist information and referral (I&R) organizations in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their community resource data by performing agency outreach, information collection, data entry, and service indexing.
What You’ll Do

Maintain client resource database(s) in accordance with all policies and procedures.

Verify, organize, and abstract data collected as necessary.

Participate in workgroups as assigned and as they pertain to information resource management, program effectiveness, data collection, and dissemination.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive agency and client information.

Survey agencies in the Community Resource database as directed.

Create written abstracts that quickly convey essential concepts that thoroughly and clearly describe an agency’s services, including where relevant: target populations, eligibility criteria, areas served, application procedures, etc.

Accurately summarize an agency’s program and index the services using the AIRS/Taxonomy of Human Services

Assist with all website/internet related activities and processes including all approved applications of the community resources database.

Review the inclusion/exclusion policy for the resource database annually.

Ability to research, collect, write, edit, and proof all resource materials.
Who We’re Looking For
-
Experience in the field of human services, social work, or customer service.
-
Willingness to meet and maintain Inform USA Community Resource Specialist - Database Curator (CRS - DC) certification standards.

Demonstrated proficiency in database systems and Google Workspace.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational skills with consistent attention to detail and accuracy.

Self-directed and comfortable working collaboratively in a virtual environment.

Ability to effectively problem solve, stay on task, and complete assignments on time.

A U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is legally able to work in the U.S.
