About the Role

As a Resource Data Specialist, you will support information and referral (I&R) organizations by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of community resource data through agency outreach, data entry, and service indexing. ​We’re looking for detail-oriented problem-solvers who are knowledgeable about the human services delivery system and committed to good data.

The Day-to-Day

  • Research and gather detailed information about new and existing agencies, programs, and services.

  • Conduct outreach via email, phone, or web survey to verify agency site, program, and service details.

  • Assist with web-related processes, including reviewing update surveys and inclusion applications.

  • Collect and clearly translate program details into plain language according to defined style guide criteria.

  • Accurately index services using authorized 211 HSIS taxonomy terms.

  • As assigned, participate in workgroups related to data management, program effectiveness, and outreach.

  • Remain attentive to process changes, provide feedback on challenges, and actively report on task status.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience in data management, library sciences, social work, customer service, or other related fields.

  • Demonstrated experience with I&R database systems and Google Workspace.

  • Willingness to meet and maintain Inform USA CRS - DC certification standards.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong organizational skills with consistent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Self-directed and comfortable working collaboratively in a virtual environment.

  • Ability to effectively problem solve, stay on task, and complete assignments on time.
